None of the self help books or teachers that I had followed for decades could prepare me for what 2020 had in store. Training by Fire, the ‘sink or swim’ approach was incredibly painful but a necessary 'Initiation'.
I burned it ALL down…every bridge that was not in alignment with this ‘new’ calling that I felt that I had no other choice but to answer. Lifelong friendships, family, habits, belief systems …I let it ALL burn.
Standing alone to face criticism, persecution and ridicule proved to be the curriculum for my awakening. FREEDOM was on the other side of letting go of the need for outside approval.
It was Lonely…
It was Terrifying but Liberating at the same time…like an ‘existential kink’...I had trouble admitting that I actually loved the burn because it was pushing me to evolve.
